Gary was the President and CEO of Unitron Industries from 1998 to 2002, where in 3 years he tripled sales and grew the market value of the company from $20MM to $257MM. From 1996 to 1998, Gary was President and CEO of Fluid Packaging Company Inc., where he led a turnaround that brought the Company to profitability within 18 months, from a $4MM loss. Prior to that, Gary was CEO of Colotone Imaging, a subsidiary of Colotone Riverside Inc., from 1995 to 1996. Gary has also held various positions of increasing responsibilities with CCL Industries Inc. from 1967 to 1994, including those of CEO of CCL Custom Manufacturing (1993 to 1994) and of President and COO of CCL Industries Inc. (1989 to 1993). Gary Ullman has a BA in Business Administration from York University and BA in Business Management from Pacific Western University.
Douglas Brent has been the Co-Chairman of Brent Enterprises LLC since 1999. From 1994 to 1999, Doug was the President and CEO of BT Capital Partners, the $1.5 Billion private equity and venture capital fund of Bankers Trust New York Corporation, with offices in New York, London, Hong Kong and San Francisco. With an average of 40+ majority or significant minority investments in industries spanning across manufacturing, retailing, service and technology-related companies, BT Capital garnered internal rates of return in excess of 70% during the time that Doug managed the fund. In addition to his responsibilities with BT Capital, Doug was also a member of the Business Council, the group responsible for the overall management of Bankers Trust. Between 1986 and 1994, Doug held a variety of positions with the firm, including heading the Public Equity Division, the Transaction Development Group, and working in the Acquisition and Structured Finance group of Bankers Trust. A Chartered Accountant, Doug worked with KPMG from 1981 to 1984. Doug Brent has an MBA from the Cornell University’s Johnson School of Management, and a B. Comm from the University of Toronto.
Hollis Brent has been the Co-Chairman of Brent Enterprises LLC since 1999, before which he was the Co-Managing Partner of Equimar Capital Inc., a Toronto-based Merchant Bank from 1995 to 1999. Prior to 1995, Hollis was a partner with McMillan Binch, Barristers and Solicitors, where he practiced in the Financial Services Group from 1986 to 1994. Also a Chartered Accountant, Hollis worked with KPMG for over 5 years (1976 to 1981), and was a lecturer at University of Windsor Business School. Hollis has an LL.B. from University of Windsor Law School and a B.Comm from the University of Toronto.
